Who is Irene Armendariz-Jackson?
Irene Armendariz-Jackson, is an American Realtor and small business owner. Her parents, Ernesto and Graciela Armendariz are Mexican immigrants who are naturalized U.S. citizens. Irene and her husband have been married for 25 years. They have 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. She a native of El Paso, where she has strong ties to the communities of both Ciudad Juarez and El Paso. This has given her a broader perspective to how Mexico and the U.S. can cooperate with initiatives that will help both countries prosper. She is running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress for District 16 in the 2020 election.
Irene holds an undergraduate degree in business management from Howard Payne University and a Master degree in government, with a concentration in law and public policy, from Regent University. From 2017 to 2018, she held various political campaign positions. She served as Constituency Leader, helped in communications and strategic planning and as a Domestic Policy Advisor to the Republican Candidate for District 16 during the 2018 election. Irene has been involved in many community initiatives as program manager and counselor. She has vested many volunteer hours in children’s activities, pro-life activities and recently has begun supporting groups which bring to light the human trafficking crisis in the borderland of El Paso.
Now, Irene is running for U.S. Congress: giving a voice to the conservative population in El Paso. El Paso is 80.7% Latino/Hispanic and Irene will work with others who don’t see things exactly her way in order to continue domestic freedom and exporting America’s greatest commodity, which is democracy. Irene has begun to reach across the aisle by helping a moderate Democrat during her campaign for City Council, in hopes to nurture a spirit of cooperation and focus on what unites us as Americans and not what divides us.
